Jon Burkholz is a local Utah photographer and designer with a passion for photography, design, invention and travel. Whether capturing the sights, scenes and events around Salt Lake City, the Wasatch Mountains and Utah, or while traveling abroad to places like Kyoto, Japan, Iceland, Tanzania or Spain, Jon strives to capture those unique moments that celebrate the natural beauty of the world and it’s cultures.
I am a photographer, skier, climber, a husband and father of two boys from Heber City, Utah, USA. I’ve earned my keep as a ski guide, ski patroller, wildland firefighter, gardener, helicopter logger, and forestry worker, to name a few of my endeavors.
My photography focuses mainly on landscape and active lifestyle, but I am constantly snapping away as life unfolds before my eyes. I consider myself fortunate to live in Utah where the mountains meet the desert and I’m always exploring and searching for new views and vision. My passion for the outdoors drives me to wake up early and greet the day. And while I play, I can’t help but pause and take it all in… giving thanks. Photography is the medium I choose to share my experience and the beauty of the world how I see it.
