Gallery: Exhibit Application
Alpine Art was has been providing fine art from our Salt Lake City location for 30 years. We have an extensive fine art collection with a focus on local established & emerging artists.
Alpine Art Gallery Responsibilities:
Alpine Art works in partnership with artists to put on professional gallery shows. An agreement is executed and an exhibition time scheduled. Alpine Art will be responsible for installing and promoting the show and hosting a reception for the artists. Alpine Art will also facilitate sales of work shown in the gallery.
Most exhibits are two-person or group shows and Alpine Art’s Curator & Jury will pair artists it believes will create an interesting exhibition. We recommend that artists plan on delivering approximately 20 works for a show. Not all works will necessarily be displayed. Alpine Art reserves the right to put together an exhibit that will show all work in the best possible way. Alpine Art will have sole discretion in selecting the works to install.
Alpine Art has a mailing list of over 400 members and community VIPs. Approximately 500 postcards are printed for each show. All extra postcards can be available for the artists use. Artists may send show announcements to others, if they are willing to pay for the additional mailing costs. If given advance notice, additional postcards can be printed at the artists’ expense.
All sales from the gallery will be distributed 60% towards the artist and 40% towards Alpine Art.
Artists are responsible for creating and delivering the work to the gallery at the agreed upon time. All works should be ready to hang or display.
Images of work submitted with the application should be representative of the work actually exhibited at Alpine Art unless given specific direction from the Curator.
Artists will cooperate in publicizing the exhibition by providing images for use on the postcard and by providing biographical information, in a timely fashion (several months before the show).
Alpine Art does insure the work exhibited in the gallery for the time that it is agreed upon. Artists accept responsibility for all work delivered to the Alpine Art if the work is not picked up at the agreed appointed time.
Artists should plan to be at the opening reception.
