I first started shooting photography about 15 years. I soon realized that when you really get into photography you start to see the world in a different way. You start to see that there is true beauty in everything and in every place on this amazing world. Within a short time it became a true passion of mine. I love just about every type of photography, but I especially love architectural and nature/landscapes.
After shooting for a few years I realized that a lot of the subjects and places I was photographing had been photographed many times by many photographers. I then made it a goal to try to get shots that didn’t look like everyone else’s. Some of the techniques I use to try and get unique shots are shooting unusual angles and compositions, shooting at different times of day or night and experimenting with long exposure times. Nightscapes in particular have become a strong passion of mine. Shooting almost any subject at night can add mystery, intrigue and a special beauty that shooting the same subject during the daylight can’t match. I also like to photograph subjects that others miss because they are looking at the grand overall landscape. I honestly believe that there are things in this world that nobody will ever see if some photographer doesn’t take a photo of it.
I believe that if there is something that you love to do and are very passionate about, that you should do it to the best of your ability. By practice, persistence and learning all we can about the thing we love to do we become a master of that craft. I hope my photography helps inspire others to love photography, set their everyday goals high and to not be afraid to shoot for the stars.
