A Perspective of Nature
A Perspective of Nature brings together four artists whose unique interpretations of the natural world invite viewers to see landscapes, forms, and atmospheres through different lenses.
Jodi Steen translates nature into serene, horizontal bands of color, distilling the horizon into pure line and rhythm.
Laura Hope Mason offers meditative monochromatic scenes where distant mountain ranges emerge quietly, evoking a sense of stillness and expanse.
Matthew Hassing grounds the exhibition with representational depictions of trees and flowers, capturing the recognizable beauty and vitality of the natural world.
Sarah Ashley Peterson bridges realism and abstraction, weaving natural imagery with expressive forms that hint at both memory and imagination.
Through diverse composition and style, the works share a reverence for the landscape and the organic forms that inspire them. Together they create a dialogue that highlights the many ways nature can be perceived, interpreted, and reimagined – offering viewers a layered, harmonious perspective of the world around us.
